Collection: TONONE Lighting

About TONONE

Tonone was founded in 2013 by designer Anton de Groof and is established
in the Netherlands. The Tonone design team works with local artisans
to produce their products. During the design and production process
the entire life cycle of the products is taken into account when it comes to
sustainability, efficiency and logistics.

How can a fascination with traditional mechanics and craft
tools are applied in state-of-the-art design? This search was
the starting point for the products of lighting label Tonone, known for it
use of characteristic construction resources such as visual and functional
basis for innovative product design.

This view was well illustrated by the design of the first
Tonone line-up: the Bolt series, followed by the hand-blown glass series Atlas and
Ella, the cool lamp Mr. Tubes and the LED series Beads. In 2022 Tonone added
two new series to its collection: the elegant Bella and the wearable
ONE. The Bridge linear LED lamp was launched in early 2024.

Today, the design team's vision remains steadfast
applying traditional craft tools and mechanics
innovative lighting design. Although the handwriting of De Groof and his team is still
can be described as daring and functional, these are new
introduced lighting designs evaluated into a slick, unobtrusive and smart
lighting concept. Even if the mechanics used are not visible, the
Tonone's signature is still recognized in every subsequent step of it
lighting design.
